Beth has a bachelor’s degree in Business Education from Graceland University. She earned her master’s of education degree from Iowa State University. She has also attended California State University—Fullerton, the University of Northern Iowa, and the University of Iowa. She is active with many organizations, including: a 3-year term as secretary on the G-R Dollars for Scholars board; 2 years as president of the IAAP Victory Chapter; the current president-elect of the North Central Business Education Association; the current secretary for the Iowa Community College Business Deans/Chairs board; and a Sunday school director, public relations chair, and historian for her church. She’s been the advisor for the Beta Alpha Kappa chapter of PTK at Hawkeye for 1 year and the advisor for the IAAP Hawkeye chapter for 18 years. She is married (26 years) and has an 18 year-old son. Her favorite quote is, “Count that day lost, Whose low-descending sun, views from thy hand no worthy action done.”
